QQI are pleased to publish the final report of an international institutional review of the Institut Universitaire International Luxembourg (IUIL).
In 2016, QQI were approached by the Ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche (Luxembourg’s Ministry of Higher Education and Research) and requested to conduct a review of IUIL. This is the first time QQI has been contracted to carry out an institutional review of an overseas institution on behalf of another organisation.
IUIL was founded by the Grand-Ducal Act of the 22nd April 1974 and is attached to the Ministère. The Institut offers a range of training programmes (adult learning vocational sphere, continuing VET) in the medical field, health care and human resources. Programmes are offered as blended learning and IUIL also carries out studies in the human resources field.
The review was conducted in accordance with European standards and guidelines for reviews. A team of five international reviewers, selected by QQI, were appointed with the agreement of the Ministère and IUIL.
