Inaugural Review of Quality Assurance in Education & Training Boards
QQI is responsible for carrying out external reviews of the implementation and effectiveness of a provider’s quality assurance procedures on a cyclical basis.
Following the approval by QQI of the quality assurance procedures of the sixteen education and training boards in 2018, the inaugural review of quality assurance in education and training boards commenced in 2021. The purposes, scope, model and methodology for the reviews are outlined in QQI’s Policy for the Inaugural Review of Quality Assurance in Education and Training Boards. Technical Guidelines for Virtual Review
As a result of public health restrictions imposed in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the inaugural review of quality assurance in the ETBs is taking place virtually via Microsoft Teams. QQI has produced a set of technical guidelines for all participants in the review process, which are available below.
