As part of the process for re-engagement with QQI in 2017-18, each of the sixteen education and training boards (ETBs) undertook an executive self-evaluation of quality assurance arrangements within the organisation and developed a quality improvement plan (QIP) to address any identified areas for improvement. A QQI report summarising trends and highlighting good practice identified in these reports is available here.
In 2019, the ETBs reported to QQI on their progress to date in implementing the original QIPs and their quality improvement plans for the current year. Following review by QQI, these reports formed the basis of discussion at the 2019 dialogue meetings with the sector.
